Weekly Status Report: 2019-06-30

Hello all!

We’re closing out the month of June with a plethora of new languages officially supported by the Adélie Linux system: Ada, COBOL, Erlang, and Rust! The Rust interpreter has been packaged for a while, but in the past week we’ve added multiple packages that are written in Rust. They run on all of our Tier 1 architectures, and we’re very excited to be the first musl-based distribution to have Rust on five CPUs.

This week has also seen our first Infrastructure Team meeting, which allowed us to identify what we need to work on going forward to ensure reliability of our mirrors, Web site, and Git repositories.
